Challenge and solution
Industries in fields like the pharmaceutical and biotechnological sector are facing great challenges: new laws and regulations such as GDP (Good Distribution Practice), varying transport times, extreme ambient temperatures and strictly defined product temperatures during storage and transport.
Reliable solutions from va-Q-tec ensure that the cold chain is preserved during every day handling. Our innovative, high-performance packaging is suitable for transporting thermally sensitive pharmaceutical, biotech or blood products as well as transplants. As a customer you decide which thermal properties are needed during transport and can simply select the appropriate modules – it's that easy. Our team of experts is happy to advise you regarding your individual requirements.

Requirements: Quick and resounding success in clinical studies is of great importance for pharmaceutical companies' modern research worldwide. However, new treatment options for countless patients whose recovery may depend on this success is of even greater importance. There are many risks to overcome on the way to success, including a safe and reliable supply chain and an unbroken cold chain.
Solution: Thermal packaging products from va-Q-tec for shipping investigational medicinal products (IMPs) and clinical samples were developed to minimise precisely this risk. The large range of products offers many options from different sizes to thermal modularity. The products have proven particularly successful in practical application over many years with regard to their thermal and mechanical sturdiness. This is a direct example for va-Q-tec's "no excursion" philosophy – the same quality resembled the "Q" in our name stands for.
Requirements: More and more pharmaceutical and biotech products are temperature-sensitive and require an unbroken cold chain during transport. Due to tighter GDP regulations (Good Distribution Practice), this has to be monitored and verified ever more comprehensively, not only for cold chain products (2 °C - 8 °C), but also for room temperature products (15 °C - 25 °C). So, whether large or small amounts of an API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) or a finished product are to be transported nationally or internationally, these requirements have to be met.
Solution: va-Q-tec's product portfolio offers a large selection from small boxes to large air freight containers. Of course, customers can rely on the high standard of va-Q-tec quality. Our products for the commercial distribution of pharmaceutical goods distinguish through an excellent price-performance ratio and low operating costs. This is achieved through our multiple-award winning and space-saving technologies, the easy handling of our products and our attractive rental models, e.g. our international "va-Q-tec" rental container fleet and the associated attractive network of customers and partners.
Requirements: The "last mile" of the supply chain, until the product finally reaches the patient, is typically characterised by short transport times and a very high frequency of transports. This makes a high level of efficiency within the transport network necessary, at the same time GDP regulations (Good Distribution Practice) need to be upheld. Particularly on the "last mile" this is a special challenge, e.g. when a product cannot be accepted by the recipient or if the delivery time is postponed over a weekend.
Solution: We offer a large variety of packaging solutions: ones which can be used hundreds of times or products that minimise logistical efforts and costs simply due to their smart handling. va-Q-tec products for this part of the cold chain have one main feature: efficiency and simplicity, naturally without neglecting our quality claim: va-Q-tec – Always the right temperature.
In addition to our standard portfolio, we also develop individual packaging solutions specifically for your requirements.
