va-Q-pur

Characteristics

va-Q-pur's core material is a special polyurethane foam with 100% open cell, which exclusive delivered to va-Q-tec. Due to the rigid and light weight va-Q-pur is can be used various application fields such as transport containers.

The PUR core is wrapped in a highly almost impermeable barrier film and evacuated with very low gas pressure in a chamber and sealed. The aluminum barrier film ensures that the va-Q-pur keeps the necessary vacuum level for a desired period.

In general, va-Q-pur is produced a rectangular shape in accordance with the va-Q-seam technique. va-Q-pur also can be produced in recessed surfaces. Other shapes are available on request.

Applications

va-Q-pur is especially developed for applications e.g. appliances like freezers and refrigerators or thermal transport packaging.

Especially va-Q-pur is fitted together with conventional polyurethane foam systems. The high temperature during the foaming process does not influence the thermal or mechanical properties of the va-Q-pur by appliance applications. The adhesion between the surface of the va-Q-pur and the polyurethane foam is very good. Please discuss your application with va-Q-tec AG.

Advantage

  • Flat and hard surface
  • Light weight
  • Surface indentation is possible
