The vacuum insulated building, designed by architect Martin Pool, in central Munich´s Seitzstrasse has again received a well known award: in Germanys largest competition for advanced buildings the Munic building was selected among 580 other buildings competing for the award handed over by the German minister Wolfgang Tiefensee .

The 5 story combined office and apartment building is almost fully covered with the high quality and high efficiency vacuum insulations panels of va-Q-tec. The very low energy consumption of the building and the reliable and safe technological installation system has convinced the award committee. Besides the Munich building another building located in the southern German town of Regensburg equipped with va-Q-tec VIPs was under the final nominations for the award.
