va-Q-pur : The efficient thermal insulated panel for appliances

1. Characteristics

va-Q-pur is an evacuated thermal insulating panel with low thermal conductivity. The core or va-Q-pur comprises open cell polyurethane(PUR)-foam. The PUR core is sealed in a low permeation gas barrier film under vacuum. The barrier film ensures that the va-Q-pur keeps the necessary vacuum level for a long time. In general, rectangular panels are produced. Other shapes may be produced on request.

2. Applications

va-Q-pur is especially developed for appliances like freezers and refrigerators. va-Q-pur can be used together with conventional polyurethane form system. The heat during the foaming process does not influence the thermal or mechanical properties of the vacuum panels. The adhesion between the surface of the vacuum panel and the outer polyurethane foam is good.
