Internal gas pressure is one of the most important factors in estimating the service life of a vacuum insulation panel. va-Q-tec has invented a comprehensive and reliable quality control system based on easy and quick check process.
All VIPs of va-Q-tec are equipped with sensor chip and barcode label. With this two components va-Q-tec enables to store and make a data base for all information about the VIPs.
va-Q-check is patented in many countries and is an unique control system for the internal gas pressure of our vacuum insulation panels. This system enables a simple check of the VIPs after production and during installation.

Measurement with va-Q-check
- Measure time : ca. 5 - 10 sec./VIP
- Direct contact with sensor chip and measurement head is necessary
- Possible measurement ranges from 0.02 to 10 mbar (in particular applications up to 100 mbar)

Measurement principle of va-Q-check
- An external sensor device generates a heat pulse
- The heat flux through the covering film and the multi layer sensor is measured
- The heat flux depends on the internal gas pressure of the VIP
