On June 21 2007 the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBT) has granted the first approval of vacuum insulation panels for building insulation to the va-Q-tec AG as a manufacturer of vacuum insulation panels under the certification number Z-23.11-1658. This approval is valid for the building application fields of DEO, WI and DI according to the standard DIN V 4108-10, table 1. On July 24 2008 the application field are extened to DAD, DAA, DZ, DI, DEO, WAB, WH and WI. va-Q-tec proves its technical leading position in the VIP markets.

This value includes aging and thermal bridge effects due to edge losses. A reason for the very good evaluation of va-Q-tec´s product is a world-wide unique quality control system. The check system can be offered to customers via our installation partner companies.

To improve mechanical protection and fire resistance the silverish vacuum insulation panel va-Q-vip, is coated with a black glass fibre textile and called "va-Q-vip B".

The va-Q-vip B fulfils in accordance with the test certificate No. H.2-157/06 of the Forschungsinstitut für Wärmeschutz (FIW Munich) the examination of fire resistance of the building material class B2 according to DIN 4102-1. Therefore the va-Q-vip B is available for new and renovated buildings with excellent insulation value and well-established processing technology.
